TODDLER: Ages 2&3

Children ages 2 & 3 are given a classroom setting where they are taught God’s Word through stories & songs. These classes are staffed with friendly and well-qualified teachers. (Two adults in each class). Our staff is well-trained, experienced and readily available for all regular and special services as well. We work hard at protecting your youngster and the testimony of Christ at all times.

BEGINNERS /ELEMENTARY: 4 Yrs. - 2nd Grade

We believe you can’t start teaching the truths of God Word too soon. By using simple lessons and activities to teach basic Bible truths to children, we introduce them to God the Father and Jesus the Son. Each Sunday the children learn about the grand redemptive thread from Genesis to Revelation that is Jesus Christ.

IRONWORKERS! MEN’S BIBLE STUDY: (Saturdays at 8:00 AM)

It may strike some as strange that a Bible study by a group of men would be called Ironworkers. The phrase “iron sharpens iron” is found in Proverbs 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” There is mutual benefit of the two; the edges become sharper, making the knives more efficient in their task to cut and slice. Likewise, the Word of God is a “double-edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12), and it is with this that we are to sharpen one another—in times of meeting, fellowship, or any other interaction. We have seen joy, tears, laughter, strengthening, bonding and so much more take place on Saturday morning.

Several men have said that the Bible study is the highlight of their week. We meet each Saturday morning at 8 am to around 9 am. Many of the men go out to breakfast together afterwards to continue the enjoyment started around God’s Word.

Women’s Bible Study - Tuesdays 6:30 pm

Each week, women of all ages meet to dive deeply into the Word of God. Our weekly Bible study is usually focused on the current expositional preaching ministry of the Word from the pulpit. This means, while our pastor preaches expositionally through a particular book of the Bible, the women are working alongside those messages through in-depth studies of the same portions of Scripture. Bible study is meant to be done in community with the saints. We strive to grow together in a sound understanding of the Word as we engage with the text individually in our homework, then meet weekly to get insight from others who have done the same. Classes are open to all women who wish to join, regardless of their church affiliation.

WOMENS ENRICHMENT

Women’s ministry exists to equip every woman in sound knowledge of the Word and to provide opportunities to bear one another’s burdens in true Christian fellowship. This is accomplished by weekly Bible studies as well as events and activities throughout the year to biblically enrich the lives of women so that they may, in turn, glorify their Father who is in heaven.

Music

Philosophy of Music in Corporate Worship

What is music?

What is music? Music is a gift of common grace which God gives to humanity. However, this gift is special because God commands his people to use music in their corporate worship of him.

What is the purpose of music in worship?

The purpose of music is to glorify God in the way he commands.

How are we commanded to use music in our worship?

We are to sing together to the glory of God alone in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs.

“speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord,” (Ephesians 5:19)

“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.” (Colossians 3:16)

The implication of singing together as a church body is that singing is to be intentionally congregational.

What kind of music should be utilized in our worship?

Because musical style is based largely on cultural context, human tradition, and personal preference, we must focus on the content of our music rather than a particular style or genre.

Men's Enrichment

It may strike some as strange that a Bible study by a group of men would be called Ironworkers. The phrase “iron sharpens iron” is found in Proverbs 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” There is mutual benefit in the rubbing of two iron blades together; the edges become sharper, making the knives more efficient in their task to cut and slice. Likewise, the Word of God is a “double-edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12, and it is with this that we are to sharpen one another—in times of meeting, fellowship, or any other interaction. We have seen joy, tears, laughter, strengthening, bonding and so much more take place on Saturday morning.

Several men have said that the Bible study is the highlight of their week. Come find out why! We will be looking for YOU!! We meet in the room off the kitchen each Saturday morning at 7 am to 8 am. We meet and many of the men go out too breakfast together afterwards to continue the enjoyment started around God’s Word.
